Gerard
Our beautiful ginger cat Gerard, whom we adopted along with his brother Thomas in April of 2014, died after a stroke on May 11.
He had been doing extraordinarily well, and his loss was very sudden. His heart murmur had not been causing any symptoms, and he had been his usual energetic self—he had been chasing his tail just the day before…
His most recent ultrasound and vet visit indicated he was quite stable, and so we were hopeful that would continue. Fortunately he did not have a long period of suffering, and we were able to be with him. But we all miss him terribly.
