Harold Moses is a happy, happy guy!
He was found on a golf course a very sick little man. He was skinny, had several sores on his tongue and gums, and was very dehydrated. Harold was a puzzle…he pecked at his food like a chicken and drooled profusely from all parts of his mouth, but he still managed to eat like a champ. The vet thought that Harold’s tongue was burned…but how?
Harold Moses when he came to us
The mystery was solved. The people at the golf course were flipping Harold hamburgers off the grill. They were hot, he was hungry…the result was a badly burned tongue.
Prescription for recovery: antibiotics, fluids twice a day for two weeks, and a large dose of love. Today he sports a coat of thick fur and a sparkle in his eyes.
Harold is a charmer. He gives meaning to the word “playboy.” With his every move he seems to be saying, “life is grand–come play with me.”
What is it that makes Harold Moses so special? Well, he has no back feet. He was born with only stumps.
But don’t worry about Harold Moses–he’s one happy, happy guy!
August 2003 update
Harold Moses has adjusted very well to his new home. And… having no back legs hasn’t stopped him from making the living room couch one of his many favorite spots to snooze. Harold’s coat is shiny, his eyes are bright, and his tail is bushier than it has ever been. This sure beats living on a golf course!
It takes a lot of people pulling together to make success stories like Harold Moses a reality. If our cats are never offered a home, they can live at the shelter for the rest of their lives. They will receive lots of love, and all the care and comfort they need. But we need your help to do this.
