Hero was left behind when his owners moved….the product of the infamous foreclosures that are happening everywhere today. A painter found Hero when he entered the house to do repairs.
Hero was an intact male with an odor that could knock your shoes off! He smelled so badly he was banned from the shelter, not to return until the smell was gone. At that point I had no idea why we had named HIM Hero, when WE were the heroes for saving him, and he had gotten us into so much trouble.
Hero was neutered ASAP. A few months later, no longer sporting his offensive odor, he returned to the shelter.
He is a gentle soul. His ears are testament that he has had a hard life this time around . We hope his next life is one of kindness and love.
Today, a year after his rescue, Hero remains at the shelter awaiting adoption. Hero’s story is not a complete success yet. We will keep you posted.
It takes a lot of people pulling together to make success stories like Hero’s a reality. If our cats are never offered a home, they can live at the shelter for the rest of their lives. They will receive lots of love, and all the care and comfort they need. But we need your help to do this.
