Walker was found eating out of a dumpster. Both his paws were frostbitten and very sore. He hopped on three legs. We named him Walker in the hopes he would someday walk like the other kitties.

Walker never regained the use of his right paw, but his winning spirit made us all smile.

After partial removal of both front paws, Walker started his long road to recovery.

Walker celebrated his first birthday on October 1, 2009.

Walker was adopted by Cora Cleveland of Princeton, MA.

It takes a lot of people pulling together to make success stories like Walker’s a reality. If our cats are never offered a home, they can live at the shelter for the rest of their lives. They will receive lots of love, and all the care and comfort they need. But we need your help to do this.
